While financial literacy is recognized as an essential competence for achieving quality and satisfaction of life, the subjects of economics and finance are scarcely taught in Italy, especially in primary school.
CeRP is teaming up with Italian and international partners in projects focused on financial literacy and education, targeted to school children.
Project “Scuole di montagna”. The project involves the Turin Savings Museum, the EIB Institute, and Fondazione per la Scuola of Compagnia di San Paolo. The project will facilitate educational visits of primary school children to the Savings Museum. Priority will be given to schools located in mountain areas (who lack opportunities of access to financial education programs). Reference person: Flavia Coda Moscarola.
Project “Conta e Racconta”. The project is a partnership of CeRP and Fondazione per la Scuola and aims at introducing basic financial concepts to children of selected primary schools in the Turin area, through the development of creative tools. Training programs for teachers will also be organized.
